Welcome to AussieChat ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using our platform at aussiecraft.com.au, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully — they're written in plain English, because that's how we roll.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use AussieChat. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement. We may ask you to verify your age at any time. If we find out you're under 18, your account will be suspended immediately.
2. Your Account
You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share your password with anyone. You must provide accurate information when signing up — fake profiles, impersonating others, or using misleading details is not allowed. One account per person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
3. Community Rules
AussieChat is for genuine local connection. When you post, comment, message, or interact on AussieChat, you agree to: • Be respectful — no harassment, bullying, hate speech, or threats. • Keep it local and real — no spam, bots, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour. • No explicit sexual content, violence, or material that exploits minors — ever. • No illegal activity, including scams, fraud, drug sales, or anything that breaks Australian law. • No misinformation designed to deceive or harm others. Breaches may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent ban, depending on severity.
4. Content You Post
You own what you create. By posting content on AussieChat, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute that content on the platform. You confirm you have the right to post it — no nicking other people's photos or writing without permission. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines at our discretion.
5. Privacy
Your suburb, state and postcode are used to show you relevant local content. We don't sell your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.
6. Marketplace & Business Listings
AussieChat may allow users to post marketplace listings or create business pages. We are not a party to any transactions between users. Always exercise reasonable care when buying, selling, or engaging with local businesses. AussieChat is not liable for any disputes, losses, or damages arising from user-to-user transactions.
7. XP, Credits & Rewards
XP, credits, badges, and other in-platform rewards have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. We reserve the right to adjust, revoke, or discontinue the rewards system at any time.
8. Limitation of Liability
AussieChat is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at AUD $100.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continuing to use AussieChat after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with Australian law.
